Okay, okay maybe a little too much alliteration in the title there, but today is my first Friday Short Tips post and I’m still getting a feel for a good Friday theme. For now it’s Friday Five Faves as I’ll provide you with fun, fascinating and I hope useful resources to make your day and your weekend better. Here goes:

1)      OldVersion.com: Their tagline says it all: ‘Because newer is not always better.’ Indeed. I shy away from upgrading software unless it’s truly necessary. This site is great because Windows, Mac or Linux, you too can luxuriate in old time software goodness!!

2)      Springwise: You’ll see some of the coolest entrepreneurial ideas going on this site; be sure to subscribe to their blog on your Kindle!

3)      CoolTools: Readers submit the reviews of these interesting items and they can be just about anything; old or new, as long as they are useful and cool. A fun read.

4)      Makeuseof: While MakeUseOf is well known; check out their Twitter feed for a fast way to access the best goodies they offer.

5)      Listentoamovie.com: Definitely throw the guy who created and maintains this site a few bucks; he has done a tremendous public service for people chained to their computers or otherwise away from a TV…Listen to a movie!! How great!! Example: While bored in the doctor’s office recently I listened to ‘Shawshank Redemption’ which I had previously downloaded to my phone. Enjoy this site for Friday movie night!
