Studying to Pass the GAIQ Exam

In order to become certified in Google Analytics, digital marketing professionals must take an exam called the GAIQ (Google Analytics Individual Qualification). This exam requires knowledge of every aspect of using Google Analytics’ tools, and how to interpret the information you receive from those tools. You’ll need to know both beginner and advanced-level information about all kinds of digital marketing data, not just SEO rankings. There are courses that can be taken, as well as mock tests that can help you prepare for the exam.

Taking the GAIQ Exam

Once you are ready to take the exam, you must have a 90-minute block set aside to go through all the questions of just one module. There is no way to pause the exam at all, and you’ll need to pass with at least an 80% to become certified. In order to take the exam, you’ll need to be a Google Partners member, and your certification status will be displayed on your Google Partners profile. If you aren’t able to pass the exam, you must wait a week before taking it again. Keep in mind that the 90-minutes is for just a single module – there are multiple modules that must be passed in order to pass the entire exam. You do have the ability to take the modules one at a time, coming back for others later.
